Changing the physics of memory

5 October 2026

A common approach to memory is to extract useful facts, store them, then retrieve them later when relevant.

But you don’t always know which parts of a conversation you’ll need again. Some information only becomes relevant in light of a question you hadn’t asked yet.

If you’re like me and use multiple coding agents back to back, I’m sure you’ve hit this roadblock. Your coding agents just don’t seem to learn from you, they make you constantly repeat yourself.

Sessions (or agent traces in general) are the most underrated data source and often they hold the context behind the context.

Until now, Skillsync’s approach was to pull sessions across harnesses and create reusable skills & memory files but Jev is changing that.

The cost and latency now makes it practical to search all of your sessions and pull out the right info mid prompt.

You get a simple system that truly understands you, one that doesn’t need you to create skills or set up memory. Your history stays available withoutsitting in your agent’s context.

Today we’re excited to launch exactly that, a needle-in-the-haystack-inator!

We’re starting with a simple shortcut. Hit Control + Space on your Mac and Skillsync opens a Raycast-style shortcut to search your sessions across Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, pi and more without breaking your flow.

If you’ve wanted your agents to learn from you but don’t want to create skills or evaluate memory tools or set up a local vector db, this one’s for you.

We’re inviting a small group of engineers to try it out. Do reach out if you’re curious about how it works!
